Seek Him with All Your Heart
I know that Scripture tells me to "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteosuness..."
I know that my friend, David worte, "One thing I ask and that I will seek..."
I get the vision of a hidden treasure...a treasure hunt...God is the treasure. What will I do to find Him? Will I dig? Will I turn over rocks? Will I call for Him and beg Him to manifest Himself to me? I get this picture of a glorious hunt and as the hunt continues, my longing becomes more and more powerful. I am exhausted BUT I will not stop. I am weary BUT my souls longing overcomes the tiredness. I refuse to quit because I know the glorious result. There is gladness in my heart as I seek (I Chronicles 6:10). It is tiring but exhilirating. It is in continually seeking that I find more strength. It is a discipline to set my heart to the power of seeking. THEN all of the sudden, He lets us find Him (I Chronicles 28:9). What a glorious union, how sweet is the communion. How blessed is the intimacy.
Thsi requires intensity and humility. No other misssion is more important than to seek the glory of God. No higher calling...No other priority...seek....seek first...one thing I have asked and that I will seek...GOD AND GOD ALONE
